Our Story
Since 2019, Holidays For Hope has been a active youth organization and has been a key member of the youth leadership movement within Corner Brook.
Our Story
Holidays For Hope is a youth led non-profit organization. Originally started in October of 2019 under the name The Viking Place Haunt as an annual haunted house fundraiser, it was later decided to continue hosting fundraisers year round and the name Holidays For Hope was born.
In addition to the inaugural haunted house fundraiser, Holidays For Hope has done bottle drives, hikes, dance videos, Christmas parade floats, themed brunches and many other fundraisers in support of various groups and programming! Today, Holidays For Hope has grown to a large group of youth volunteers who want to make a difference and have a positive impact on their community.
We have also begun developing programming alongside our events through our Youth Leadership Program, Food Security Program, and Active Youth Program. These programs aim to remove barriers faced by youth experiencing financial hardship and provide opportunities for youth to develop their leadership skills while supporting their community.
